PROJECT GRASS THE PENNSYLVANIA GRAZING PARTNERSHIP EFFORT
South East Project Grass has been awarded grant from the
Water Resources Education Network. The grant is for the Southeast Project
Grass Grazing and Pasture Management Planner. The Southeastern Project
Grass Chapter will partner with USDA - Natural Resource Conservation Service,
Penn State Cooperative Extension and the Reading Area Water Authority to develop
a 12 month Grazing Pasture Management Planner illustrating Best Management
Practices of pasture management that have shown to be effective at lowering
risks of pollution to drinking water supplies. With dates for implementing BMPs
included along with pictures, this project will provide source water protection
education in the Delaware and Susquehanna watersheds.
